Building Positive Impression On Your First Campus Visit

After you have decided and your aim about your colleges is clear in front of your eyes, you find yourself with a list of colleges in your hand waiting for your visit. Yes it’s a time to make a tour of the campus you will most probably join. In your first visit you are likely to meet the receptionist and the tour guide. These two are the most important ones to be taken into confidence as they can be of great help in future.

First meeting with the Receptionist and the tour guide:

The very first person that you are going to interact with in the college campus is the receptionist. Your first interaction with the concerned should start with a smile after which as her responsibility she asks you to fill out the information form or sign the guest book. You should have a gentle attitude towards them and then put forward your queries as the admission employees are there to help you and sometimes it can also be a student worker who can be providing much relevant information to you.

Similarly your interaction with the tour guide should be a confident one and start with an introduction of yourself followed by a handshake. If she is equally interested and approaches you with some question do reply them in an interesting manner may be that you get many things to know from the person.

 Interaction during the tour:

During the tour you should honestly give that time period to these people who act as volunteers taking out time from their busy schedule only to help you specifying their educational qualities of their institute. So do take interest and try to answer them interestingly and try to be an enjoyable company rather than a zombie.

 After the Campus Tour:

After the tour of the campus is over do remember to thank the person for his devoted time and efforts that the individual has spent behind you. Try to get personal and ask certain additional questions which you could not during the tour and exchange the email address and try to send a thanking note via the Email which helps to create a memorable space in the mind for you. Campus mails are appreciated by the college students which they can mention in the admission office and who knows can get noted in your file. So do try to give a positive impact on the person.
