College Admission Timetable
As we enter a college there are many
responsibilities added and many information need to be gathered like
information regarding the college financial aid, campus visit and queries
regarding the campus visit. How can a freshman and his guardians get all the important
information they need? One basic way is to always be early in the college
admissions game. Getting late can exclude you from having a proper parking
space, financial aid or a dorm room.
Sophomores:
There lies a great variation in the school
lives and the college’s life similarly there can be a vast difference in the
requirements regarding the entrance in colleges. Each student should be well
acknowledged about the fact what they should take every year of high school in order
to be eligible for college according to college expectations. In order to get
success do attend the prep classes stressing on English, math and science etc.
Junior
Year:
Don’t miss out your junior years as they are
meant to visit the college and appearing for the ACT or SAT exams. It’s not
easy to crack so it’s better to give an attempt twice in the junior level and
if the statistics don’t favor you can opt for another time once before the
senior level. Don’t wait for senior level complete the leg work in the junior
level itself.
Senior
Years:
Now the question lies for senior students as to when
to when they should be applying. Do check for the acceptance date for each
college. You may be offered a rolling acceptance policy by the colleges then too
do apply by a Thanks note. Also do write for scholarships. Waiting can bring
you an offer for live off campus and own a car. But opting to live on campus
for first two years can help you. Apply for financial aid in three to four
colleges and after you get the award letter you can make a choice according to
their different offers.
