Health Tips For College Students
Every one is aware of the saying “Health is
Wealth” and it stands true in all stages of life including college life.
Everything goes well if you are fit. But a college life has bad impact on
health as the life is too busy and a student hardly gets time to manage his
schedule for proper eating, right exercise and getting adequate sleep. Most importantly,
colleges tend to be more prone to germs.
Yes you are too busy but still if you manage
to take some small healthy precautions can lead you to live a healthy life
where you can enjoy both physically and mentally and also help you to keep out
of stress.
Here are some tips:
Take
adequate sleep: When schedules become too busy many times we compromise with our sleep. But all
the students are not the same some can manage having 3 to 4 hrs sleep while
others cannot. Lack of sleep can keep you off concentration in the class. So
have a regular nap in your schedule.
Eat
right: Try to develop adequate eating habits and limit the intake of basic preference
of college students like junk foods etc and late night dinner.
Breakfast: Do prefer a bowl of cereal or
a cup of Yogurt also can be taken despite of skipping breakfast that will only
help you gain weight and nothing else.
Take
enough food and water: If you have any eating disorder do intimate to the
campus counseling center immediately and have the right food for yourself in
adequate quantity. Also do prefer drinking water despite soda bottles on the
dining table.
Avoid
Binge drinking: Many college students are found to quit food in weekends so that they can have
their binge drinking but this is also a bad idea as it can lead to weight gain.
Prefer
Walking: In the busy schedule of college you don’t get
time to do a workout so do prefer walking up to the campus despite having a
ride in your car. Make walking your main mode of transportation that can
substitute for an adequate workout.
